Today, I will be sharing a variation of an Asian Salad recipe that I found on Pinterest. It is an absolute favorite in our house and we have it regularly! This is a great vegetarian option but it is also scrumptious with shredded chicken incorporated into as well.
Here is a picture of all the things that I used to make this delectably delicious Asian Salad Recipe…
Let’s start with the dressing. This dressing is made the same as the original found on Pinterest.
Asian Salad Dressing Recipe
- 3 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup Rice Wine Vinegar
- 1/4 cup veg oil (I prefer to used olive oil)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 black pepper
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and place aside.
Now lets build the salad.
For simplicity sake, I used pre-cut romaine lettuce and pre-cut coleslaw. If you are cutting your own, you would use 1/2 head of Romaine lettuce and about 3 cups of cabbage. I then add about 1/3 cup of slivered almonds. I also like to add 1/4 cup sunflower seeds for some extra crunch, however this is optional.
I cut the cucumber into shoestring pieces like so…
Now you are ready to assemble all the all the pieces! For a more balanced dressing, make sure you give the dressing a stir before you pour in onto the salad because sometimes the sugar settles at the bottom. Keep in mind, there is a lot of dressing, so adjust how much dressing you add to your salad, according to your preference.
And there you have it. Lip-smacking Asian Salad!
I hope you enjoy the recipe. Let me know how yours goes. Bon appetit!
See you Wednesday for my next post!
