Best Basic Muffin Recipe

This recipe is quick, easy and wonderfully universal! Add your favorite fruit to the mix to produce yummy fruit muffins!
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Stir together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a large bowl.
  3. Once mixed, stir in the egg, milk and oil and mix together with a whisk or rubber spatula.
  4. It is at this point where you will add the frozen fruit. I usually put about 1 cup.
  5. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until golden.
