YUMMY MOIST WHITE LAYER CAKE!!! Anyone interested? This is a recipe that I found on the Martha Stewart website and you guys, it is a good one! This cake is moist and fluffy and too good for words!
White cake is not usually what I gravitate to, I am a chocolate cake kinda girl! This cake, however, caught my eye! It just looked so delicious that I had to try it! Look at how scrumptious this cake looks!!!
But I digress, here is what you will need to create this Moist White Layer Cake.
- 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray two 9-inch round cake pans with non-stick spray, or with butter and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and mix.
In a separate bowl, beat the butter and sugar with a mixer on medium speed until well combined, so for a minute or so. Add in your eggs and beat until well mixed.
Reduce speed to low and gradually add it to the flour mixture, beating until combined. Add milk and vanilla and beat ONLY until just combined.
I separated the batter into 2 round 9-inch baking trays.
It’s ready for the oven. I baked the cakes for 28 minutes! It produced these two lovely creations…
Let the cakes cool on a baking rack for about 15 minutes before removing them from the pan!
Once removed from the pan, let them cool completely before frosting them with your favorite frosting. This is something that I have yet to find the perfect recipe for! I have tried many frosting recipes but have not found THE ONE! Your suggestions would be great!
Once they are ready, place one of the cakes on a platter, serving tray or plate.
Add some frosting to the top of the first cake.
Add your second cake layer and sandwich them together!
Now frost the remainder of the cake.
I added some raspberries to the top because it looks pretty, and they are delicious!
Lets take a look at the inside of this masterpiece…
It’s moist! It’s fluffy! It’s crumbly! It’s totally delicious! Perfect for a loved ones birthday!
